Thanks to Tionda Harris, I got to experience speaking to others about my own story. Getting a chance to tell the story of failure, pain, growth, love, and respecting my success. Knowing that I am not where I want to be, but everyday I’m moving towards what I hope to become. Telling them about my run in with the law, and growing up in a broken home, the streets I had to overcome, and how I never let it stop me, from reaching towards the rising sun. For the second straight year we have had the pleasure of being apart of the Art and the Garden and they have embraced us with love. It was a lot of great vendors and they all brought in a diverse crowd. It was very much our pleasure to meet and get the support of anybody who purchased a shirt. We thank you! We brought out art and shirts and the response was pleasureble. Can’t wait to do it next year and we honestly look forward to it.
Today I spent sometime vending at the Indianapolis Urban league. I had a wonderful time and respect the time spent putting this together by Urban League staff. I was asked to be a guest speaker here at the Urban League Center on September 25, 2017. I am anxious and excited to spread the Damaged Petal mission statement and hopefully it will reach the ones who choose to listen. Thank you for those who purchased a shirt and I hope to be invited back next year. It was fun and very professional.
On June 24th 2017 we were in attendance for the Pattern Magazine event. Which put on a good show and event with even a after party. We had a table set up with a mixed crowd in attendance and got the message across to a lot of great people. We want to thank the Pattern Magazine for the invite and appreciate letting us set up a table to sell merchandise. Check out our magazine interview with the Pattern to see why we created the brand, the concept, and what are our biggest influences. Please take the time to read and give your feedback. http://www.patternindy.com/2017/06/26/streetexpo-brand-highlight-damaged-petals-christian-miquel/
